7-string jazz guitarist, George Stone, performs regularly in the Northwest in a variety of settings and venues with a number of great players in the Seattle area.  He became interested in guitar as a teenager, and in his 20's studied classical guitar.  He has become in-demand as a Jazz player and is recognized as an outstanding rhythm-section player by many Seattle area musicians. George plays a hand-made 7-string Trenier Magnolia which was custom-built for him by a local guitar luthier, Bryant Trenier.  He is a member of the Seattle Jazz Guitar Society and teaches privately.

     His main guitar influences include Ron Eschete, Milo Petersen, Wes Montgomery, Pat Martino.  Other influences include, Gary Steele, Stan Getz, Kenny Barron, McCoy Tyner, Cannonball Adderley among many other greats artists. 

     George, grew up in Montana and has resided in the Seattle area for 18 years.

     George performs regularly in duo, trio and quartet settings with many in-demand Northwest musicians.  He has performed with Ambience Jazz Quartet, Buck-Stone Guitar duo, Tobi Stone, and Earshot Hall of Fame inductee- Gary Steele.
